She was born in Montclair, moved to East Orange, then to California, and settled in Bloomfield in 1959.

She was a bond teller at The Bank of Bloomfield for 28 years, retiring 12 years ago. Prior to the bank, she was an assistant secretary to the manager at Kresge’s in Montclair.

Mrs. Catalano is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph S. Catalano; her children, Joseph A. Catalano and his wife Jodi, and Edward Catalano; a daughter-in-law, Laura Catalano; a brother, Matthew Scola; a sister, Michelina Tutalo; and four grandchildren, Jaimie, Joelle, Christina and Stephanie.

A funeral Mass was held on Oct. 22, in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield, with interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Ave., Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
