A funeral will be held on Friday, Oct. 17, at 9 a.m. in Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St., Montclair, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., in St. Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Ave., Montclair. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Visiting will be today, Thursday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the funeral home.

Ms. Gale was born and raised in Bloomfield, and graduated from Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing in 1940. She retired from Prudential Life Insurance Co. in Newark, in 1986. She continued her nursing career in occupational nursing until her final retirement at age 79.

Ms. Gale was predeceased by her son, Richard Gail. She is survived by her children, Susan Tully Klas of Summit, and Janice Gail Murphy of London, England; her brother, Dr. Chester Glowacz of North Caldwell; four grandchildren, Megan, Owen, Michael and Mary Elizabeth; and one great-grandchild, Sophia.
