A funeral Mass will be held today, Thursday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m., in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Montclair. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.

Mr. Mauriello was born and raised in West Orange, moved to Montclair, then back to West Orange for many years.

He was a stock clerk in the parts division of General Motors in Bloomfield for 33 years before retiring in 1977. He was a member of the United Auto Workers of Bloomfield.

Mr. Mauriello was predeceased in 1973 by his wife, Margaret (Gerardi); his longtime companion, Lucy Ferrullo; his sisters, Anna Giannelli, Angie Collins and Clara Jacquindo; and his brothers, Sam, Nick and Ralph Mauriello. He is survived by his children, Francine Mauriello, and Joseph Mauriello Jr. and his wife Connie; and two grandchildren, Joseph and Michael.
